BEIJING, Aug. 13 -- General Liu Zhenli, member of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) and chief of staff of the CMC Joint Staff Department, held talks with the visiting Admiral David Johnston, chief of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in Beijing on August 13, 2025.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-Australia relations and mil-to-mil ties, international and regional security situations, and issues of common concern, and agreed to strengthen defense dialogue and promote the development of bilateral military relations.

8月13日，中央軍委委員、中央軍委聯(lián)合參謀部參謀長(zhǎng)劉振立同來(lái)華訪問(wèn)的澳大利亞國(guó)防軍司令約翰斯頓舉行會(huì)談，雙方就兩國(guó)兩軍關(guān)系、國(guó)際和地區(qū)安全形勢(shì)及共同關(guān)心的問(wèn)題深入交換意見(jiàn)，同意在防務(wù)領(lǐng)域加強(qiáng)對(duì)話，推動(dòng)兩軍關(guān)系向前發(fā)展。
